Liuli China Museum is On the Move

In order to reach its full potential and to accommodate more visitors, LIULI CHINA Museum will be moving to a new location. The Museum will temporarily shut its doors on April 15, 2008 to regroup and plan for the next exciting stage.

LIULI CHINA Museum quickly established itself as a must-see landmark in Shanghai since its April 2006 opening. Architecturally stunning with Liuli tiled walls and a massive peony installation, the Museum has garnered widespread international acclaim from the Liuli art world. Boasting a collection spanning from ancient Chinese Liuli to international contemporary Liuli art, the Museum presents exhibitions on contemporary Liuli artists at regular intervals as well as educational courses on the discipline. Located in Xintiandi, Shanghaiˇ¦s economic and cultural hub, LIULI CHINA Museum strives to share the joy of Liuli with the city.

The past two years has seen LIULI CHINA Museumˇ¦s mission come to fruition.

During this temporary absence, museum employees will be working diligently to prepare for the second stage. All exhibitions, events and the museum store will be closed at this time and all business will be conducted out of Liuligongfang headquarters in Qi Bao. LIULI CHINA Museum and website continues to embark with virtual museum exploration, persisting to exhibit and publicizes on Liuli arts.
