0:46 River — Fabiao Li From Liuli China Museum
Glass as a material holds infinite possibilities—transparent yet dense, fragile yet mighty. It carries no intrinsic value; its beauty only emerges when displayed in a fitting context. The artist, 李付彪 draws upon the diverse qualities of glass to venture into an unbounded creative space.
Chinese characters have always possessed the function of pictographic expression. In this work, through a simple geometric form, Li conjures forth the inner vitality of the Chinese character “川” (chuan)—the symbol of flowing rivers and enduring life force.
