She says that “Demie Cnidaire” is a reference to a previous series called “Cnidaire” which was inspired by the veins and transparency of jellyfish. She named this particular piece “demi” because we only see half, as if cut exactly down the middle. Impenetrable to the naked eye, she can only assume what lies within.
