Humans were the spirits of the earth, full of wisdom and intelligence. Eric Bonte uses gold freely to varying effect. As it winds down a glass form, the gold detail either outshines itself or disappears entirely. It operates as a medium of light or become its very source. Bonte employs this element as an independent entity. It is not simply a decoration but rather a working in its own right. Like glass, gold shines differently from varying angles, it is a material of reflections.
