1:20 Golden age From Liuli China Museum
When life’s every detail is inspiring,
everything is golden.
Through emotions and love,
life is illuminated before my eyes.

Tales of the Golden Age in ancient Greece depict it as a time when mortals and gods lived in harmony. The philosopher Plato explained the Golden Age not as a time when everything was fashioned from gold, but as a time when humans were full of goodness and nobility. Humans were the spirits of the earth, full of wisdom and intelligence. Eric Bonte uses gold freely to varying effect. As it winds down a glass form, the gold detail either outshines itself or disappears entirely. It operates as a medium of light or become its very source. Bonte employs this element as an independent entity. It is not simply a decoration but rather a working in its own right. Like glass, gold shines differently from varying angles, it is a material of reflections.
