Artist Loretta Yang, invited to participate
in the Venice Art and Craft Biennale "Homo Faber 2024

Artist Loretta Yang's "A CHINESE LIULI FLOWER" series work "Bloom of a New World" will be exhibited at the Homo Faber 2024 Art and Craft Biennale held in Venice, Italy, from September 1st to 30th, 2024. The exhibition is a global gathering for the craft industry, bringing together extraordinary masterpieces from over 400 master craftsmen from more than 50 countries and regions, aiming to pay tribute to the noble spirit of craftsmanship.
The term "Homo Faber" was widely used during the Renaissance period and symbolizes the infinite creativity of humanity. This edition of the exhibition, themed "The Journey of Life," takes the audience on a journey through the lens of craftsmanship, examining the human life journey through the works of talented artists from around the world.

Loretta Yang's work "Bloom of a New World" interprets her profound understanding of life and love through the unique Eastern glass lost-wax casting technique. This piece presents lifelike flowers with a height of 65 centimeters, symbolizing resilience and the power of love. The creation process of the work is complex and highly challenging. Through the glass powder coloring and sintering technique, the glass flowers exhibit a natural yet surreal color, which is truly admirable and reflects Loretta Yang's pursuit of the ultimate in craftsmanship.

Loretta Yang's participation in this exhibition is not only a significant milestone in her creative career but also symbolizes the profound exchange and integration between Eastern and Italian cultures. She stated: "It is an honor for me to exhibit in Venice, a place with deep historical roots. My work 'Bloom of a New World' pushes the limits of Pate-de-verre, showcasing the delicate balance between the real and the surreal, and presents the pursuit of love and life through the fragile medium of glass."

Loretta Yang's creative philosophy is imbued with Eastern philosophical contemplation and aesthetic influence. We look forward to Loretta Yang's "Bloom of a New World" bringing an extraordinary artistic experience to a global audience at Homo Faber 2024, and in the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, showcasing the infinite charm of glass art.
