The Unmissable CIIE Appointment!
The Glass Steed Sings a Victory Song

On November 5th, the 7th China International Import Expo grandly commenced. The glass steed sculpture, "Bountiful Glory Welcomes the Champion Home," meticulously crafted by LIULIGONGFANG using the intangible cultural heritage "glass firing technique," was presented by LIULI CHINA MUSEUM and made a stunning appearance. Located in the "Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Living Room" at the Press Center, the piece selected through a rigorous process showcased the charm of glass art to guests from around the world. With its unique artistic style and profound cultural connotations, the work captured the attention of the audience, conveying the splendor of contemporary Chinese glass art to the world.
The glass Tang horse, "Bountiful Glory Welcomes the Champion Home," is imbued with an amber red glass texture, and the shallow relief depicts the intertwined peony and treasure patterns from Dunhuang murals. Through the unique clarity of glass, light and shadow play, revealing the invisible side to others, which is precisely the footprint of the victor. A small blue bird raises its head, locking eyes with the steed, exchanging glances. It seems to be welcoming the king's return with beautiful music.

The glass steed is not only brave but also a gentlemanly knight, attentively listening, conveying humility with its eyes, and a slightly open mouth as if to express gratitude. The ingenious composition creates a graceful and smooth curve in the head and neck of the steed, showcasing the "three flowers," a combination of strength and tenderness. In the present era, the intersection of magnificence and nobility with the benevolence of a gentleman constructs a world of artistic spirit for the viewer. The tranquil and elegant glass Tang horse takes you into a dazzling golden age.
The unmissable appointment of glass with the CIIE! The pieces from the Glass Workshop, "beneficial to the heart," carry the mission of culture and art, conveying the concept of being "beneficial to the heart," and showcasing the brilliance of contemporary Chinese glass art to the world.
