The Essence of Ancient Chinese glass

When Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi started out in the 90s, they made the conscious decision to acquire every available piece of Chinese liuli despite their financial limitations. In their own words, “No matter what year the pieces dated to, they represent our past; to know our past is to know our future.”

Two hundred sixty-two pieces of glass relics spanning 2,500 years across the Warring States Period to the Qing Dynasty are in the LIULI CHINA MUSEUM Shanghai collection. As a group, they represent the excellence of Chinese liuli and tell the story of Chinese glass.
