International Contemporary Glass Art

Founder Chang Yi has been a pioneer in the Chinese glass art world since 1995, championing the earliest and largest-scale international glass art exhibitions in the Chinese-speaking world. Building on this foundation, the LIULI CHINA MUSEUM has brought together works from some of the most renowned modern glass artists globally—truly the “best of the best,” masters among masters, who represent the pinnacle of modern glass art.

These include prominent figures from the American Studio Glass movement, such as Steven Weinberg, Paul Stankard, and Jay Musler; French master Antoine Leperlier; Japanese master Kyohei Fujita; and Czech artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, whose specially gifted pieces are unique in the world. Their works showcase not only exceptional mastery of technique but also a steadfast commitment to their individual styles.

The museum also exhibits works from modern glass art founders, Loretta H. Yang and Chang Yi, whose pieces embody a rich infusion of Eastern philosophy. Among them, the large-scale sculpture "Thousand Eyes, Thousand Hands Guanyin," which recreates a Yuan Dynasty mural from Dunhuang, is the museum’s treasured centerpiece.
