Modern French Glass Art

From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, France ushered in a golden age of glass art. Émile Gallé’s embossed vases and his concept of "speaking glass" endowed glass with an artistic texture like never before.
French lost-wax casting artist François Décorchemont, along with artist Amalric Walter, also made significant contributions during this period. Their works hold great importance, both in terms of the level of techniques such as lost-wax casting and in the broader development of European glass art.
